About me

As a licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist (“Psychologische Psychotherapeutin“) I have a university degree in Psychology with a focus on clinical psychology, developmental psychology and psychiatry and I am profoundly trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy (depth-psychology-based psychotherapy), which is one of four state-approved therapy methods in Germany.

• 2000 University of Hamburg: Diploma in Psychology, training e.g. in humanistic therapeutic approaches (for instance client-centered psychotherapy) as well as behavioral therapy methods
• 2001 – 2003 two years stay in Upstate New York, USA
• Profound training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Institut Rhein-Eifel GmbH, Andernach
• Additional training in psychodynamic group therapy
• License/ Approbation as “Psychological Psychotherapist”
• Professional experience in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy (mental health institutions, day care unit, psychotherapy practice)
